Satellite Update
ATCONTACT Communications requested authorization to relocate its authorized geostationary orbit satellite from 83 degrees west longitude to 87 degrees WL and use additional downlink frequencies in the 18.3-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz bands and additional uplink frequencies in the 28.35-28.5 GHz and 29.25-30.0 GHz bands at that location. The FCC granted DirecTV Enterprises LLC an application for special temporary authorization (STA) to locate its hybrid DBS and fixed satellite service on the DirecTV 9S Ka-band satellite located at 138 degrees WL and to conduct in-orbit testing for up to 52 days after the satellite's launch. DirecTV is also authorized to operate DirecTV 9S telemetry, tracking and command functions during the in-orbit testing of the satellite at 138 degrees WL, and during relocation of the satellite to its licensed location at 101.1 degrees WL.
