Scientific-Atlanta to offer new HD solutions for broadcast, cable

Scientific-Atlanta's PowerVu D9850 program receiver will be on display at NAB2004.
At this year’s NAB convention, Scientific-Atlanta will showcase new solutions and products designed to help cable operators and broadcasters squeeze more performance from networks to expand services to customers and create new revenue opportunities.
Products and solutions to be highlighted at NAB include:
- PowerVu D9850 program receiver (release 3);
- PowerVu D9834 satellite receiver;
- Investment protection technology for PowerVu systems;
- PowerVu D9050 HDTV Encoder.
Scientific-Atlanta will also show the ROSA Element Manager (EM), IntelliRate video rate limiting solution, TRANSIS rate compressor platform and Explorer 8000HD digital video recorder.
