The Scopus solution incorporates the new IRD-2900 series of professional integrated receiver decoder (IRD) platforms, alongside various advanced encoders, multiplexers, and a network management system (NMS). The IRD-2900 receiver platform integrates, in a 1RU box, a satellite front end, an MPEG decoding system, and an IP interface capable of providing IP data up to 60Mb/s.
The comprehensive solution lowers the total cost of ownership for distributed satellite networks by effectively combining the distribution of both broadcast video and IP data over the same transport network.
