Scopus to Introduce IVG-7500 Intelligent Video Splicer at SCTE Cable-Tech
Scopus Video Networks will debut its new IVG-7500 Intelligent Video Splicer at the 2006 SCTE Cable-Tech Expo, June 20-23 in Denver.
Targeting digital splicing applications at the network edge, the IVG-7500 features seamless SD and HD splicing, and standards-based DPI implementation (SCTE 30 and SCTE 35) for compatibility with major ad servers. In a digital simulcast environment, it allows local ad insertion in the digital IP domain and combined with the Scopus UID-2912 Universal IP Edge Decoder, completes the Scopus digital simulcast architecture.
The Scopus UID-2912 is a professional MPEG-2 IP decoder that enables cable operators to distribute the same content to both digital and analog subscribers using a single IP distribution network. The decoder integrates 12 professional MPEG-2 decoders in a modular 1 RU design and dual independent Gigabit Ethernet ports, both with SFP and RJ-45 connectors, are built into the unit for additional flexibility.
Scopus will be in Booth 347.
