Scopus to show MPEG-4 universal encoder at IBC

Part of the Scopus IVN system, the UE-9000 UniversalEncoder offers two H.264 channel encoding for bandwidth-efficient distribution.

At IBC2005, Scopus Network Technologies will demonstrate an upgraded UE-9000 UniversalEncoder. The platform handles simultaneous H.264 and MPEG-2 encoding or dual-channel H.264 encoding in a single 1RU box.

Featuring two H.264 encoding channels, the UE-9000 allows users to maintain MPEG-2 video quality while saving 30-50 percent bandwidth and maintaining operational cost efficiencies.

Part of the Scopus IVN system, the UE-9000, is available concurrently encoding two MPEG-2 channels.

Hardware-ready for DVB-S2, the UE-9000 can also include a satellite modulator and up-converter for DSNG and fixed applications. The unit also features analog and digital video inputs and up to eight stereo channels. Multiple platforms can be cascaded, thus saving the need for an external multiplexer.
