Scripps Taps Nucomm for BAS Gear

published E.W. Scripps Television Station Group has purchased digital ENG gear from Nucomm in preparation for the 2 GHz transition.
WPTV, Scripps’ NBC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Fla. is one of 10 stations that have purchased Nucomm gear for their BAS relocation. As part of the BAS process, Nucomm is updating equipment valued at over $1 million. The gear list includes 15 new transmitters, eight receivers and a new control system. The equipment is expected to be installed and updated over the next two to three months.
WPTV has been a customer of Nucomm since 2000.
