SeaChange International is adding new playback control capability to its new MediaClient SDI decoder with DNF Controls. SeaChange will use DNF's four-channel 3040P-L Playlist playout controller for its product integration.
The SeaChange MediaClient MPEG-2/DV-based video supports recording, playout and workflow regardless of video image format, file type, or compression scheme.
DNF Controls’ 3040P-L creates playlists and features jog, shuttle, go to, mark in and mark out functions.
The 3040P-L playlist playout controller consists of DNF’s ST400 controller with Playlist Playout software. It controls one playlist per channel on up to five channels, for a total of 2000 elements, and features one source VTR channel. The controller enables the creation of program and commercial playlists, as well as the ability to modify them during playout. The List Transfer Option, a Microsoft Windows PC application, makes it fast and easy to load a playlist into the 3040P-L.
