SeaChange to show scalable servers
At the upcoming NAB 2009 show (booth# SU12009) SeaChange will demonstrate a range of new workflow and play-to-air solutions that will streamline content delivery and file sharing.
Highlights include the next generation of its Broadcast MediaLibrary that dramatically improves how broadcasters produce, share and repurpose content.
The company’s Broadcast MediaLibrary transmission server, the BMLxt, adds features and performance capabilities for broadcasters who need a scalable, reliable disk-based central media asset library. The BMLxt features a new SAS drive-based design that delivers faster transfer speeds, less latency and increased scalability. The BMLxt series of servers scales from a single 3.6TB node up to a nine-node cluster providing nearly 100TB, which can be combined with the company’s MediaClient (MCL) software codecs to ingest or playout broadcast-quality HD and SD channels.
