Senate Commerce Names Subcom Members
New Senate Commerce subcommittee memberships were designated this week. The subcommittee on Science Technology and Innovation often deals with issues involving the Internet and computing.
Members include the following Democrats: Sens. John Kerry, Mass. (chairman); John Rockefeller, W.Va.; Byron Dorgan, N.D.; Barbara Boxer, Calif.; Maria Cantwell, Wash.; Mark Pryor, Ark.; Claire McCaskill, Mo.; and Amy Klobuchar, Minn.; and Republicans John Ensign, Nev. (ranking member); John McCain, Ariz.; Kay Bailey Hutchison, Texas; Gordon Smith, Ore.; John Sununu, N.H.; Jim DeMint, S.C.; and John Thune, S.D.
Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), full committee chairman, and Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), vice chairman, are ex officio members of all subcommittees.
