SGI to debut Prism at NAB2005

published SGI will present a new open IT platform for media at NAB2005.
The Silicon Graphics Prism is a compact, open architecture platform that handles multiple ingest channels, multiple uncompressed HD and 2K streams, and the 4K requirements of digital cinema mastering and digital intermediates.
The system also features:
- Industry standards-based, 64-bit Intel Itanium 2 processors
- The 64-bit Linux operating system
- Scalable ATI graphics processors (GPUs)
- New graphics technology
