Sharp's new 65in Aquos HD LCD
Sharp showed a 65in Aquos high-definition LCD TV at this week’s Ceatec show in Japan.
The market for large LCD displays has been strong, and in part has prompted European broadcasters to re-evaluate when they need to transition to an HD timetable.
In the past, manufacturing yields on large LCD displays have been relatively low; however, production of increasingly larger panels for sale to consumers indicates yields must be improving.
