Slovak Transmitter Company Enters U.S. Broadcast Market

published A veteran broadcast transmitter company is entering the U.S. market under a new name.
Florida-based RJB Broadcast Group has agreed to sell television broadcast transmitters from IMP-Telekom of Slovenia, a manufacturer of TV transmitters and transposers/translators. In the past, IMP has been marketed worldwide under the Siemens brand name.
According to RJB Broadcast president Larry Broome IMP Telekom will be going through the FCC approval process over the next month. Among the equipment IMP plans to market is its Dragon digital line, covering output powers from 250W to 5kW in the VHF and UHF frequency ranges.
