SMPTE Seeks Comment on Changes to Embedded Audio Standard

published SMPTE is asking manufacturers of audio and video equipment for feedback on proposed changes to the SMPTE 299M-1997 embedded audio standard "24-Bit Digital Audio Format for 292M Bit-Serial Interface."
According to the standards organization, these changes could affect compatibility of existing devices on the market. Comments are due by May 19.
