Snell introduced 24 new products in the company's extensive IQ Modular intelligent infrastructure range at the recent HD World Conference and Exhibition. Compatible with emerging 3Gb/s standards, as well as current analog, SD, and HD formats, these new components are smart, flexible, centrally controlled building blocks that support a seamless transition to HDTV and 3Gb/s operations. In addition to 3Gbps/HD/SD support, the components announced feature advanced solutions for fiber-optic conversion and Dolby E/D processing. The new components include a new processing platform designed to handle all audio and video processing tasks. Multiple products and variants within this platform allow broadcasters to combine cost- and space-saving single-function modules into complete solutions with the specific functionality required.
