Snell & Wilcox is offering a series of free classes at locations throughout the United States for qualified technical directors working on its new Kahuna production switcher.
Classes on Kahuna are planned for Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh. The next training session will be in Chicago on Sept. 21, with the choice of a morning or afternoon class.
Operators can allocate mix/effects banks (M/Es) to either SD or HD sources, or to mix HD/SD sources together on a single M/E. This flexibility makes maximum use of all available M/Es by networking multiple control surfaces to different mainframes, Snell said, allocating one mainframe to separate control panels, or to operating in SD or HD as required.
