The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DBC) placed the first order for SSL's new C100 Digital Broadcast Console at the AES Convention in Amsterdam.
DBC has ordered two 32-channel C100 consoles, scheduled for installation in May at the broadcaster's Aarhus facility in Jutland, Denmark.
The first console is to be installed in Studio 11, which is used primarily for magazine-style weekly shows covering a variety of topics.
The second C100 will be deployed in Studio 12 - a major studio used for game and chat shows. Here, the C100 replaces an SL 4000 E Series analogue console which has seen many years of service with DBC.

With the C100’s control surface, operators are presented with immediate access to all channel controls through the Master Channel, with options to define additional ‘soft’ controls according to the input source.
It features SSL’s latest Centuri processing technology. This proprietary technology offers a plethora of failsafe and resiliency features, including fault tolerance, self-healing DSP, hot-swappable components, rapid boot times and remote diagnostics. It contains all audio and control processing, I/O options and GPIO interfacing within a single, robust 15U rack-mounted processor core. The Centuri engine can lock to a variety of video and audio standards.
