Sony and MySpace Launch The Minisode Network
MySpace has announced the debut of The Minisode Network, which takes select classic TV shows from the Sony Pictures Television library and edits them down for Internet viewing.
Although the episodes are only three to five minutes long each, they maintain the full storylines.
“Now MySpace users can discover classic TV shows in a stylized, modern format,” said Chris DeWolfe, CEO of MySpace. “Teaming with Sony to debut The Minisode Network exclusively on MySpace gives our millions of users yet another reason to make MySpace Video a daily destination.”
New minisodes will be added to the site weekly, and MySpace expects to have 500 available by year’s end.
Honda has signed on as the exclusive sponsor for the launch, providing 3-second mini-billboards and 5-second mini-commercials, in keeping with the network’s theme.
