Specialized Communications has reinvented itself with its SignFlash dynamic digital signage solution. Known as a video equipment repair shop when it opened in 1985, Specialized Communications since has found its niche by focusing on broadcast video equipment: centralized media storage, video servers, and editing equipment. SignFlash, the company's product, is a small box that can drive standard video inputs from 13-inch monitors to large plasma screens. It allows users to blend text, still graphics, animation and video to create a repeating loop. The screen also can be divided into multiple zones, each of which can be programmed with a different sequence of images and text.
