SPEED Network Gets Dalet Supercharge
The SPEED motorsports network, a division of the Fox Networks Group, has now added Dalet Enterprise Edition for management of the operation’s high-definition content and production workflows. The SPEED implementation took place across a variety of open IT systems and broadcast platforms.
"Moving into a brand new facility gave us the chance to build the SPEED production from the ground up," said Richard Miner, senior vice president for production and network operations at SPEED. "We wanted for a flexible and open technology infrastructure… one that would enable us to integrate multiple systems in our production workflow as well as adapt to new distribution methods easily. The Dalet solution has given us that platform."
The Dalet Enterprise Edition serves as the operation’s central content management system, and tracks content and associated metadata throughout its production and broadcast stages. Program pre-production is achieved with Dalet desktop tools spread across 125 users.
The North Carolina-based network moved into its new facility last December and aired its first show this January. It produces a variety of motorsports programs and specials.
