Stern Signs With Video on Demand Service
Howard Stern will appear on a video-on-demand supplier later this year. Terms of his deal were not disclosed.
Stern and the company said iN Demand obtained the U.S. rights to televise his Sirius Satellite show through agreements with Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Cox. The company will negotiate with other digital cable providers for further distribution.
VOD lets users fast-forward, rewind, pause and view a show when they want, according to iN Demand, which will charge a subscription to Stern's show in addition to a monthly cable fee. The three-year deal grants iN Demand the rights to Stern's remaining shows while he is still on terrestrial radio.
