Sundance, Pathfire to Integrate Automation, Distribution Platforms
Digital content distribution provider Pathfire is licensing its networking technology to automation developer Sundance Digital in a joint marketing effort to help broadcasters automate movement of syndicated and spot content from receipt to air.
Pathfire is licensing its Digital Media Gateway (DMG) Automation Connect protocol to Sundance to interface with its automation systems, which include Titan, a scalable automation technology that enables dynamic re-assignment of playlist control by way of a graphical user interface, and FastBreak Automation scalable video server controller. As programming, spot content and associate metadata arrive in a broadcast facility via the Pathfire DMG server, Automation Connect distributes and delivers the information into the Sundance database.
