SWE-DISH launches SATCOM antenna module in a Suitcase
At IBC2008 (Stand 1:A39), SWE-DISH Satellite Systems has introduced the new Suitcase CCT120, a 1.2m antenna module, to its existing CommuniCase product line.
Suitcase terminals, known for being light, compact and easy to use, have changed the way journalists communicate from remote locations.
The modular system architecture of CommuniCase technology allows users to select from a series of modules that can be deployed in different transceivers to support multiband capability as well as interchange various antenna sizes and modems (SCPC, TDMA, iDirect). The technology is easy to upgrade, allowing users to cost-effectively add SATCOM capabilities as the need arises.
The new Suitcase CCT120 offers higher signal throughput via a larger antenna. Existing CommuniCase customers can upgrade to the 1.2m antenna. The new remote transmission system features multiple modules, a plug-in modem, an antenna system, a controller and a transceiver.
