Van Nuys, Calif.-based Sweetwater Digital Video Productions recently upgraded one of their production trucks with Grass Valley's latest offering, the Kayenne video production center.
The truck, nicknamed "Cobalt," traded out a Kalypso HD switcher for a fully loaded 4.5 M/E Kayenne, the first of its kind in the area. The total purchase from Grass Valley also included a Trinix NXT video router and a load of GeckoFlex HD signal conversion equipment to be dispursed among the Sweetwater mobile units, as well as a K2 Summit HD production client and Dyno replay controller to work alongside the displaced Kalypso handling replay and various visual effects for an upcoming national primetime television event.
Sweetwater Digital Video Productions is excited for the increased power and flexibility that Kayenne will bring to "Cobalt," and the potential to expand their services to a whole new clientele base.
