Syndication King To Join NAB Hall of Fame
Roger King, CEO of CBS Enterprises and King World Productions Inc., will be the 2004 television inductee into the NAB Hall of Fame at the NAB2004 Television All-Industry Luncheon, April 19 in Las Vegas. King spearheaded the launch, sales and marketing efforts of programs like Wheel of Fortune and The Oprah Winfrey Show, bringing personalities such as Pat Sajak and Oprah Winfrey to national attention and establishing King World, founded by his father, as a distributor of first-run, syndicated programming. Previous careers have included newspapers sales representative, radio station manager, television series host and television station sales manager. King was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame in 1992, and recently received Television Week's first Television Syndication Lifetime Achievement Award.
