TBS, SES Renew Satellite Relationship
SES Americom signed a multi-year deal this week to continue providing its satellite services to Turner Broadcasting System Inc.
TBS, which has worked with the Princeton, N.J.-based satellite company since 1994, will continue to use SES Americom's satellite newsgathering distribution services for its CNN news and special events programming. The company has also picked up the satellite operator's booking services.
"The SES Americom distribution platform stands ready to deliver scheduled and unplanned programming anytime, anywhere. We are truly honored to extend our relationship with the television industry innovator, which is a milestone in our 30-year tradition of quality, reliable programming distribution," said Bryan McGuirk, president of media solutions for SES Americom.
