European TV and radio transmission group TDF has selected ND SatCom to deliver a turnkey redundant 5+1 uplink station for its teleport in Nantes, France.
The uplink station consists of two 8.1m uplinks with five regular and one redundant channel. In addition, one 4.8m uplink will be installed for backup applications.
Due to begin operations by the end of the year, the uplink station is an extension of TDF’s existing teleport uplink infrastructure in Nantes. The teleport is unmanned and operated via remote control from the TDF playout center in Paris.
