Telairity, a provider of video compression equipment for broadcasting and other markets, has selected Ben Silva as its new sales vice president for communications, media and entertainment.
Silva will be responsible for opening up new markets for the Santa Clara-Calif.-based company’s H.264/AVC MPEG-4 encoders. Silva’s career track spans 25 years and he is a seven-time Emmy award winner for technological and creative achievements.

"Ben's expertise allows us to expand further into the IPTV and Asia-Pacific markets, complementing our success in the American and European backhaul and traditional broadcast markets over the last two years.
