Telecast to offer new fiber systems at NAB2007
At NAB2007 (Booth SU10213), Telecast Fiber Systems will introduce a new Telethon transceiver system that features the functionality of the company's Python II series of transmitters and receivers in combination with the CWDM wavelength management functionality of the Teleport system.
The Telethon unit accepts both optical and electrical digital signals, ranging from 19.4Mb/s up to 1.5Gb/s uncompressed HD/SDI, and multiplexes them for transmission in either or both directions with up to 16 optical signals on one fiber, significantly increasing fiber capacity. The Telethon is interoperable with most other Telecast products.
In addition, Telecast will introduce analog and digital audio trunking in a single box. The successor to the Adder 162 and 322, this new front-of-house/announce booth Adder is a single-box solution for larger point-to-point audio applications.
Featuring factory-configurable modules, the new Adder II BoothPak handles analog audio and digital AES audio while converting between them. With an integrated signal generator and analyzer, plus facilities for data, intercom and optical redundancy, this Adder eases the setup of even complicated audio.
