TerraSonde Adds Toolbox To Euphonix Truck

(December 11, 2003) Boulder, CO--TerraSonde's Digital Audio Toolbox is now included in the Euphonix Max Air broadcast truck, a touring mobile unit showcasing Euphonix's Max Air digital audio console. According to TerraSonde, Euphonix chose the Digital Audio Toolbox for its small footprint, portability, and digital audio analysis tools (dual input and output, 24bit/96k).

"We've found that many broadcasting engineers have been somewhat thrust into the world of digital audio. They have very few choices when it comes to powerful digital audio measurement tools that give them fast, accurate, understandable results," said TerraSonde CEO Andrew Smith. "Most of that level of equipment is usually found in bench-based analysis tools or complex laptop based solutions. The Digital Audio Toolbox affords them a handheld audio test set whose feature set easily rivals equipment costing thousands more, with very easy to understand information displays."

The Digital Audio Toolbox has several sets of I/O connectors: Digital Audio Input 1 & 2, Video Input, Digital Output, Analog Output, Word Clock In/Out and a serial port. Supported digital formats include AES/EBU, s/pdif, toslinkToslink, and ADAT, at bit depths of 24 bits and sample rates up to 96kHz.
