Thales Receives SBE 2002 Technology Award For DCX Paragon
The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) has selected Thales Broadcast and Multimedia announced for its 2003 Technology Award. The Technology Award recognizes new or innovative technical items or ideas that further the science of broadcast engineering and enhance the productivity of the broadcast engineer. Thales was recognized for the design of the DCX Paragon MSDC-IOT digital transmitter, which substantially improves reliability, reduces downtime and provides operational cost savings. To date, nine DCX Paragon transmitters have been ordered, four of them installed and two are on the air. The 2002 Technology Award will be presented to Thales October 14 at the SBE Broadcasters Clinic in Wisconsin.
