Shaw joins NMT’s Venue Services Group as president
Dave Shaw, who spent 23 years at the Madison Square Garden Network, has been selected as the new president of National Mobile Television’s Venue Services Group (VSG). NMT is one of the largest providers of production trucks and crews in North America and VSG is its national systems integration arm that provides engineering, design and installation of television facilities.

MTG’s Viasat announces two new sports channels
The Modern Times Group’s Viasat Broadcasting will launch two new sports channels Feb. 1, and rebrand its existing Viasat Sport Channel. Viasat will broadcast Viasat Sport 1, 2 and 3, to broaden the choice for viewers. Viasat offers a comprehensive lineup of sports programming in Scandinavia. It includes the Ice Hockey World Championships, the UEFA Champions League, the NFL, the World Cup in Ice Hockey and Handball, and many others.

TNT to offer NBA All-Star Game in HDTV for second year
Turner Network Television will produce the NBA All-Star Game and NBA All-Star Saturday night festivities in HDTV for the second consecutive year. The NBA All-Star game will be played Feb. 15.

CBS Sports has selected and is using STATS' research and production resources in its production of NCAA Men’s Basketball, including this season's NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament. STATS, a sports information provider, is producing a pre-formatted, 'graphics ready' statistics file - allowing CBS Sports' production crews immediate access to in-depth, current season and historical leader boards, statistics and tournament information. STATS will also supplement CBS Sports' research department for in-depth coach, player and team information.
