The Ángel González Group turns to Video Technics
The Ángel González Group has selected Video Technics to provide its Apella media servers and end-to-end NewsFlow solution to several stations, including Channel 9 in Argentina.
The González Group was attracted to Video Technics in part by the Apella HDS media server, which supports HD native file-based workflow using new software codec technology and multiformat capability for production and transmission. The González Group also liked Video Technics’ solution because of its seamless interface with AP’s ENPS newsroom control system (NRCS).
The initial phase of the González Group’s facilities update project spans three countries with plans to expand further during the next 24 months. The initial phase includes integration of Video Technics’ end-to-end NewsFlow solution at Argentina’s Channel 9, as well as Apella Media Servers and the VT Web Server for ingest and Web-based asset distribution from the González Group’s Miami headquarters. The group will be able to acquire content at the central headquarters, then allow its international affiliates to browse that content, view proxies and download high-resolution assets via Video Technics’ Web Server.
