'The Score' Selects For-A Virtual Set Technology
By TVTechnology
published Canada's "The Score" sports channel has installed the For-A digiWarp-EX II virtual studio system for use in their 20-by-30 foot converted office space studio. The For-A package allows the network to create multiple "studios" for several different shows within the relatively small area.
"You can set up a whole show with the click of a button. Previously, it could take up to an hour to change over a hard set," said Kevin Harkins, director for technical operations for "The Score."
The technology also allows "The Score" to flow a graphics crawl at the bottom of the set, something not possible with a physical set.
