Thomson wins $6 million in new contracts from Chinese media outlets

published Thomson has secured more than $6 million in orders for its Grass Valley line of digital broadcast equipment from key Chinese media leaders, including China’s largest broadcaster, CCTV, and several of the nation’s largest outside broadcast (OB) production companies.
They include orders from Beijing Gension, CCTV, in Beijing, Guang Dong Southern TV in Guang Dong Province, HeNan TV in HeNan Province, WuHan TV in WuHan, and XiangFan TV in HuBei Province.
Details of the sales include:
- Beijing Gension: Twenty Grass Valley KayakDD vision mixers for a variety of media companies throughout China.
- HeNan TV: Two all-digital, SD OB vans that include 14 Grass Valley LDK 200 ITW digital cameras (seven per truck), two Grass Valley Xten-DD 1 M/E digital production vision mixers, a Venus digital routing switcher and multiple Grass Valley Gecko Series modular products.
- WuHan TV: An all-digital OB van including 12 Grass Valley LDK 200 ITW SD digital broadcast cameras, an XtenDD 2 M/E digital production vision mixer and a Grass Valley LDK 23HS mk II high speed-camera.
