The Telecommunications Industry Association has published three new specs for Qualcomm's forward link-only technology, better known as "FLO."
The TIA TR-47.1 subcommittee approved publication of specifications for minimum performance standards for devices; minimum performance standards for transmitters; and a test application protocol for both. The specifications to be published as TIA-1102, 1103 and 1104 respectively, according to FLO Forum, a group of 68 wireless companies working to standardize the FLO spec. In July, the FLO air interface spec was published as TIA-1099, the first to be ratified by TIA TR-47.1
