Time Warner Cable boosts HD offerings
Time Warner Cable says it will add HDNet, HDNet Movies, and iN Demand’s two HD channels to its high-definition programming schedule beginning early in 2004. Prices will range from $6.95 to $9.95 a month, depending on the system.
The new HD programs will be the first to incur additional subscriber charges. The cable operator currently offers a basic HD lineup at no additional cost. It includes shows from ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, WB, UPN, HBO, Showtime, Discovery HD Theater and some Fox Sports regional sports networks.
Nearly all of Time Warner Cable’s digital customers can now receive HD programming.
