Time Warner officially sheds AOL from company name
By TVTechnology
published Last week the name AOL Time Warner was abandoned-left only to reflect one of the great disasters in American business history. Now the media company, trying to forget the ill-fated $112 billion merger with America Online in 2001-is back to calling itself Time Warner (TWX)
In conjunction with the name change, Time Warner said it would also create a new corporate logo and its Web site URL will change to: www.timewarner.com. The name change will cost about $500,000, including installation of a new sign on its corporate headquarters in New York City.
