TNT dunks with Pinnacle Systems' character generators
Five FXDeko II systems were used to cover TNT's recent telecast of the NBA's All-Star weekend.
Pinnacle Systems' FXDeko II character generators are being used to create and deliver all on-air graphics for TNT's NBA coverage. The programming includes the network's exclusive NBA Thursday night doubleheaders, the recent NBA All-Star Weekend, and the upcoming NBA playoffs including TNT's exclusive coverage of the Western Conference Finals. FXDeko II systems are used in TNT's mobile trucks, in the TNT basketball studio and as part of the master control infrastructure.
TNT uses up to six FXDeko II systems on every game night. Mobile systems handle all on-air scoring displays including slide out effects to exhibit statistics, as well as full screen graphics and animations.
In the studio, FXDeko II delivers all of the lower thirds, full screen graphics and other elements that go into the programming. FXDeko II is also used in the "integration room," where TNT brings together its studio and game feeds to create a final package for broadcast with updated score and promotional tickers.
Five FXDeko II systems were used to cover TNT's recent telecast of the NBA's All-Star weekend. The multi-venue, two-day event, included delivery of an HDTV broadcast in partnership with the NBA.
