Todd-AO adds multiple SSL XLogic Delta Link systems
Todd-AO has acquired 19 Solid State Logic (SSL) XLogic Delta Link systems to provide the reliable transfer of digital audio information via MADI between any MADI-enabled device and Pro Tools HD systems at its facilities in Burbank, Hollywood and Santa Monica, CA.
The Delta Link systems are allowing the film and TV audio facility to directly interface Digidesign Pro Tools|HD systems with its large-scale digital consoles used for post-production dubbing, according to Bill Johnston, senior VP of engineering. The SSL MADI interface allows Todd-AO to avoid buying an AES I/O for both the consoles and the Pro Tools system.
Several feature film hits including “The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “American Gangster,” “SuperBad,” “The Bucket List” and “P.S. I Love You” have benefited from the Delta Link installation. TV shows using the Delta Link include “Cold Case,” “Prison Break” and “The Bionic Woman.”
The XLogic Delta Link MADI HD is a professional MADI converter for studio, live and broadcast applications. With XLogic Delta Link MADI HD, MADI-based audio equipment, such as routers, digital mixing consoles and converters, can be directly interfaced with Pro Tools|HD systems.
