Toshiba unveils large Times Square video display

published Mounted 285ft into the air, Toshiba has unveiled a 51.2ft by 52.5ft HDTV display in New York City’s Times Square.
The massive 1280 x 1248 pixel LED HD screen, which sits atop One Times Square, uses proprietary Technovirtual technology to create virtual pixels to achieve a high apparent resolution. It can display over a billion colors, and replaces a previous screen that consumed much more power.
