New Fox series shot with Panasonic's AJ-HDC27 Varicam
Papazian-Hirsch Entertainment, a Hollywood independent production company, has chosen Panasonic Broadcast’s AJ-HDC27 VariCam variable-frame high-definition camera to shoot the pilot of “Oliver Beene,” a half-hour comedy that has recently been added to Fox Televison’s 2002-2003 season line-up.
With the AJ-HDC27 VariCam, the Woodland Hills, CA, production studio will be able to capture film-style 24-frame high-definition progressive scanned images. The AJ-HDC27 Varicam provides a wider range of variable frame rates (four to 60-fps with the ability to change the frame rate in single-frame increments) to “overcrank” and “undercrank” the camera to achieve fast or slow-motion effects. The AJ-HDC27 VariCam also offers extended gamma control that permits high definition video to more closely match the dynamic range of film.
The AJ-HDC27 VariCam provides long recording times, while offering 24 frame-per-second capture of exquisite film-like images, increased control over gamma and all frame rates from four to 60-fps. For more information on Panasonic’s HD Cinema lineup, visit www.panasonic.com/hdworld.
