Twentieth Century Fox and the On Demand Group support pay-per-view for German cable customers
Twentieth Century Fox and the On Demand Group (ODG), a provider of transactional TV technology, announced that they have concluded a multiyear pay-per-view licensing agreement to provide movies to one of Germany's largest cable operators, Kabel Deutschland.
The ODG is a wholly owned subsidiary of digital video systems provider SeaChange International, which said that the partnership has allowed it to develop and quickly expand to global markets the CineExpress service — an entertainment brand that sets a new standard for pay-per-view movie services.
ODG provides customers with end-to-end content solutions, combining services management and technology with speed to market. In 1998, ODG launched the Front Row TV pay-per-view movie service over a UK cable network, which became the largest pay-per-view movie service outside of the U.S. with, to date, more than 45 million paid viewings.
