United States Bowling Congress to upgrade video display boards
The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) will now provide an integrated scoring, video and advertising display system for its tournaments around the country. The system will be making its first test run at the 2008 USBC Open Championships in Albuquerque, NM; its official debut is planned for the 2009 event in Las Vegas.
The new Daktronics system will include 20 custom sections of ProStar VideoPlus technology. Covering a total area of more than 350sq ft, the system will replace outdated flip digit displays. In addition to presenting scoring information, the custom video display will also show statistics, advertisements and recorded footage.
Two Venus 7000 controllers will manage the new displays.
