U.S. broadcasters embrace SSL C100 console

The C100 digital broadcast console from Solid State Logic continues to be a strong seller. The company announced eight new orders from several U.S. television stations since June, with an additional five consoles being delivered to a variety of U.S. television networks.

Among the new customers:

WSVN-TV, a Fox affiliate in Miami, FL, has installed a C148; WHDH-TV the NBC affiliate in Boston, has installed a C140; UNC-TV, a Public Broadcasting Station in North Carolina, has taken delivery of two consoles: a C124 and C148. The UNC installation also includes two C-SB remote mic stage boxes.

KMAX-TV (UPN)/KOVR (CBS), a CBS owned duopoly in Sacramento, CA, is currently installing two C140 consoles to take on the audio duties for their live news operations, including “Good Day Sacramento.”

In Seattle, NBC affiliate KING TV, is set to install a C148 console to handle the station’s live news operations. KCPQ-TV, the Fox affiliate in Seattle, will install a new C123 console in December. The new console will be used for live on-air news, including “Q13 Fox News This Morning.”
