Userplane streams “Re:Evolution of Sports” for Fox Sports Net
Userplane, a developer of Web applications, announced that it has teamed up with Red Bull’s “Re:Evolution of Sports” to re-broadcast the TV show online.
Userplane, a developer of Web applications, has teamed up with Red Bull’s “Re:Evolution of Sports” to re-broadcast the TV show online.
“Re:Evolution" airs originally on Fox Sports Net each Monday at 4 p.m. ET. Fully streamed episodes can be viewed on the www.reevolution.tv Web site.
Using the Macromedia Flash Communication Server, Userplane has developed a streaming video library of television episodes for sponsor Red Bull's “Re:Evolution of Sports” program, a show that focuses on the lifestyle of extreme athletes and the sports they represent.
Re:Evolution.tv represents the “next level” of media convergence, according to Userplane President Michael Jones.
“This is the first step in true online television viewing,” he said. “With more than 25 hours of streaming video, the site enables visitors to watch each show in its entirety, view additional clips per show and even download each show to their computer.”
Launched by Red Bull and brought to users via the Userplane application platform, the Web site enables enthusiasts to view, read about and download entire episodes and photos, as seen on television. With Macromedia Flash Communication Server, streaming large, high-quality video files is a simple process, requiring no plug-ins other than Flash itself.
