U-verse TV to Include Two HD Channels
AT&T and Scripps Networks have signed a distribution agreement to deliver Scripps Networks' HD, SD and VOD programming to AT&T's U-verse.
AT&T said it would continue its push of fiber-optic U-verse TV service into the outer (and usually newer) suburbs of various markets. Its initial roll out was in parts of Texas, with its first test market beginning last year in San Antonio.
U-verse subs will now receive two additional HD channels--HGTV HD and Food Network HD--as well as DIY Network, Fine Living TV Network, and GAC (Great American Country). Scripps programming also will be featured in the "U-verse VOD Library" on a monthly basis, including several HD "best of" hours from HGTV and Food Network, according to AT&T.
