Vela showcases high-definition decoder family
The new CineView HD LE enables frame-accurate playback of 4:2:0 video in both HD and SD profiles.
At IBC2003, Vela will preview its new CineView HD LE decoder, a PCI-based MPEG-2 high-definition decoder, and CineCast HD, a SCSI-based 4:2:0 high- definition decoder.
The new CineView HD LE is Vela's new entry-level model high-definition decoder. Intended for professional video market, the CineView HD LE enables frame-accurate playback of 4:2:0 video in both HD and SD profiles. The HD LE supports data rates up to 80 Mbps, depending on stream type and system configuration.
The CineCast HD is available as a single- (HD/1) and dual-channel model (HD/2) and can be integrated within a 1-RU chassis.
The CineCast HD decoder is a broadcast-quality high-definition decoder designed for DTV and HDTV digital video archiving, post-production, advertising, video kiosks, mapping and geographic information systems, electronic cinema and other video distribution/display applications.
The CineCast HD is available as a single- (HD/1) and dual-channel model (HD/2) and can be integrated within a 1-RU chassis.
Vela HD decoder boards support all ATSC high-definition standards. The Vela CineView HD LE decoder is scheduled for release in early 2004.
