Vela to Demo MediaAdvantage Server at IBC2004
Vela will demo its new MediaAdvantage server at IBC2004 this September in Amsterdam. The Clearwater, Fla.-based company makes video encoding and decoding gear.
The MediaAdvantage server has encoding, decoding and transcoding capabilities.
Multi-channel playback of MPEG-1, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 decoded audio and video with the CineView Quad decoder.
HD 4:2:0 playback Velo CineView HD LE decoder, frame accurate, broadcast quality 4:2:2/4:2:0 MPEG-2 decoding 3 with Vela's next-generation CineView Pro Xle decoder
Argus MX encoder, featuring embedded hardware stream multiplexing featuring embedded hardware stream multiplexing.
Simultaneous multi-stream encoding of MPEG-2, Ligos MPEG-1, RealNetworks G2 and Windows Media V.9 formatted streams, all from one source through Argus Spectrum software
Real time, simultaneous transcoding of MPEG-2 files to Windows Media V.9, Ligos MPEG-1, and RealNetworks G2 formats using Vela's Prism software plugin.
Additional features being demonstrated include concurrent multi-user access, which lets multiple users access decoders and encoders supported by MediaAdvantage from remote sites - and allows users to shift from multi-channel or standard decoding to high definition as needed.
