Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel installs new digital signage network

The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, a high-end resort in Asia, is placing digital signage systems throughout the resort’s casino and conference facilities.

The implementation will be built on Harris’ InfoCaster digital signage solution, with phase one of the project seeing the installation of InfoCaster players, including both quad-channel and dual-channel systems; InfoCaster creation stations, used to design InfoCast presentations and templates for InfoCaster players; and a Network Manager system, which allows operators to control specific devices with targeted messaging throughout a large-scale network.

The Venetian Macao aims to have a flexible digital display solution, a scalable messaging platform and exceptional video quality. The resort said the upgrade was to keep its physical presentation in line with the standards of a luxury resort.

In the casino area, the new systems will retrieve progressive jackpot data from a central server and combine this information with other messages from the resort’s sales and marketing department. In the convention facilities, the InfoCaster systems will retrieve conference room assignment data and other exhibitor information from the main server for display in predefined zones.

The small Asian enclave of Macao has recently unseated Las Vegas as the top gambling market in the world. The new Venetian Macao features 1 million sq ft of meeting, convention and exhibition space, and casino facilities housing 800 gaming tables and 6000 slot machines.
