The Viacom Television Stations Digital Media Group has partnered with Weather Underground to bring weather information to its newly designed CBS station Web sites as part of the previously announced Always On digital media initiative.
Weather Underground will provide real-time weather conditions, forecasts, severe weather alerts, tropical storm and hurricane information, animated weather maps, zoom satellite, marine and ski conditions, trip planner, local radar and more to each of the Viacom Television Station’s Web sites.
Visitors to each of the newly designed and re-launched Web sites will now have access to a personal weather station on the local station’s homepage customized for that particular market. Weather Underground’s content, stories and live updates will be supported by each television station’s broadcast and broadband video creating a unique and informative local weather portal.
